Diaz partnered with Jamie Foxx to advertise ‘Back in Action’ in Germany after the movie’s U. S. premiere was called off because of the L. A. fires.
Cameron Diaz caught attention as she walked the red carpet of her first movie premiere in 11 years on Wednesday.
After the New York City premiere of Back in Action was canceled because of the persistent wildfires in Los Angeles, the 52-year-old actress appeared in Berlin, Germany, to support the project with her co-star, Jamie Foxx.
Diaz, dressed in dark-washed wide-legged jeans and a transparent black top beneath a lengthy trench coat, struck a pose for photos to honor the Netflix movie. She complemented her outfit with Jennifer Fisher Puffy Dagger earrings and an Alexis Bittar clip earring.
Diaz brought a splash of color by coordinating her vibrant red nail polish with a red lip and soft pink blush. For her hairstyle, she chose a playful, relaxed updo.
Foxx, 57, additionally selected a dark color palette, donning a black blazer featuring white and black stripes along its lining. The actor matched the ensemble with black trousers and coordinating dress shoes.
Back in Action marks Diaz’s initial film since Annie in 2014, where she also appeared alongside Foxx. They initially appeared together on screen in 1999’s Any Given Sunday.
As per a summary, the upcoming film helmed by Seth Gordon features Diaz and Foxx in the roles of ex-CIA operatives Emily and Matt.
“Years after abandoning their careers as CIA operatives to raise a family, Emily and Matt are pulled back into the realm of espionage when their identities are revealed,” the synopsis clarifies.
Completing the cast are Glenn Close, Kyle Chandler, Andrew Scott, McKenna Roberts, Rylan Jackson, and Jamie Demetriou.
Diaz’s comeback to acting was initially revealed in June 2022. During that period, Foxx informed Entertainment Tonight that he persuaded her to return to acting by assuring her that they would enjoy themselves.
“So it was truly, ‘Do you want to enjoy yourself? Just enjoy yourself! ‘ And I believe that’s what led her to this,” Foxx stated. “We often overlook special moments in our industry, and I feel this is a special moment. Therefore, we’re extremely pleased that it’s occurring and eager for it. ”
After Foxx experienced a medical emergency in April 2023 that halted filming for a while, he was observed completing scenes with Diaz in January 2024.
Back in Action will be accessible for streaming on Netflix on Friday, January 17.
